We Need Your Input: Ready To Work Certification Survey EMPLOYERS NEED DEPENDABLE, SKILLED WORKERS. Recognizing the needs of the business community for better prepared employees, the Florida Legislature funded the Florida Ready to Work Initiative. There are no direct costs to students, job seekers or businesses to participate in Ready to Work. Your answers to the following questions will help determine how we implement this initiative in DeSoto, Hardee, and Highlands Counties. PURPOSE To provide job applicants with a credential that attests to his/her ability to enter the workforce with a known set of skills necessary to succeed while assisting employers with the recruitment, candidate selection, and/or development of appropriate training programs. FLORIDA READY TO WORK CREDENTIAL To receive the credential, individuals must demonstrate mastery in: Applied Mathematics Reading for Information Locating Information Gold, Silver, or Bronze Credentials are awarded based on level of skills demonstrated.
